PDO and PCL 3 rd  Generation Threads

We use 3 rd generation PDO/PCL threads  that provide

  • Safer Approach, No risk of vascular occlusion

  • Better Effect & Longer Lasting Results

  • Over 20 Types of Thread Designs for Every Indication

Thread lifting with 3 rd generation PDO/PCL threads is maximizing anti-aging effects with simple non-surgical office same-day procedure. It does not require any incision or cut. Threads are inserted through atraumatic blunt tip cannula into subcutaneous layer under application of a cream with freezing medication. The procedure is  quick and usually tolerated well. Results are evident immediately after the procedure. Patient are able to return to normal activities.

Wide range of PDO/PCL collagen-boosting threads can be used for full facial and periorbital (around the eyes) rejuvenation, and unique lifting procedure for brow lift, face & neck lift through simple self thread fixation.

There are two type of threads we are using for procedure. PDO stands for polydioxanone that has been used in surgical suturing of incisions, for years.  Polycaprolactone (PCL) threads are slowly absorbed into the body within 1 to 2 years compared to PDO threads which take between six and eight months. Because of this, the results from a PCL thread lift last longer, and collagen production can continue for a further year once the threads have completely dissolved.

If you're looking for a non-surgical approach to facial lifting and tightening, our PDO/PCL combination absorbable threads is perfect for you. The PDO/PCL thread lift reverses signs of aging and gives you a more youthful look. If you are looking for a non-surgical way to achieve firmer, younger-looking skin, a PDO/PCL thread  lift may be the ideal fit for you.PDO  threads are ideal for individuals who want to lift and tighten sagging skin, particularly in the face, neck and jowls. Our skilled team of professionals use absorbable barbed and unbarbed suture threads for a natural-looking result that lifts and rejuvenates your appearance.

This in-office  fast  and easy  procedure is ideal for those seeking a facial rejuvenation without the risks and downtime of surgery.

What is a thread lift?

A thread lift is a type of in office procedure when temporary resorbable sutures are placed under the skin by special canula with thread and  used to produce a visible "lift" in the skin. It simply suspends the skin by stitching up portions of it. This has the effect of pulling the skin back slightly and therefore lifting and tightening the face. In addition to being ideal for lifting the skin, threads combat aging in another way: by provoking the body's "healing response" and causing the body to direct large surges of collagen to treated areas. This is important because of the vital role collagen plays in the aging process. Additional Info

What to expect?

Patently-molded PDO/PCL thread, will be used in a minimally invasive procedure to target sagging jowls, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, nose, unwanted midface wrinkles, sagging neckline, undefined jaw lines, etc. to pull up the targeted areas and achieve a desired look. PDO/PCL threads are ideal for individuals who want to lift and tighten sagging skin, particularly in the neck and jowls.

Thread Lift is a temporary procedure and will not stop the process of aging; it will tighten, lift skin and improve wrinkles. From patient to patient, lifting results from ULTRA V Thread Lift may vary and continuation of ULTRA V Thread Lift is recommended for maintaining the effects of the lift.

Because thread lifts are so low-risk and boast such fast recovery time, it's possible to combine them with other nonsurgical procedures in order to create more comprehensive, noticeable results. Once your skin has healed around the threads inserted during an "InstaLift," it can be combined with a device treatment, mesotherapy, HA or CaHA fillers, neuromodulators like Xeomin or Botox.

While thread lifts can tighten the skin effectively, they aren't designed to address blemishes on the skin's surface. As such, banishing the superficial signs of aging—like age spots, areas of uneven pigmentation and fine lines—will require a technique known as "skin resurfacing." During skin resurfacing, the top layer of the dermis is removed, stripping away the aforementioned blemishes. A new, more youthful-looking layer of skin then grows in its place.

By combining a number of different nonsurgical anti-aging treatments, patients can achieve a profoundly positive change in their appearance – without enduring the extended recovery time associated with surgery.

What Is an Eyebrow Thread Lift?

A thread lift involves the use of dissolvable sutures made of materials like polydioxanone (PDO), polylactic acid (PLA), or polycaprolactone (PCL). These threads are inserted into the skin using fine needles to lift and reposition the brows, creating a more youthful and open appearance.

The threads are strategically placed to lift sagging skin and stimulate collagen production, which further tightens the skin over time. The effects are both immediate and progressive as collagen builds around the threads over several months.

How the Procedure Works

    1.    Consultation and Planning:

A detailed consultation with a qualified practitioner helps determine the best placement and number of threads to achieve desired results. The practitioner also assesses facial symmetry and skin quality.

    2.    Preparation:

    •    The treatment area is cleaned and numbed with a local anesthetic.

    •    Temporary markings may be drawn to guide thread placement.

    3.    Thread Insertion:

    •    Using a fine needle or cannula, the practitioner inserts the threads into the targeted areas under the skin.

    •    The threads are then adjusted to lift the brows and secured in place.

    4.    Finishing Touches:

    •    Excess thread is trimmed, and the skin is smoothed for a natural finish.

    •    The procedure typically takes 30–60 minutes, depending on the complexity.

Benefits of an Eyebrow Thread Lift

    1.    Minimally Invasive:

Thread lifts are performed under local anesthesia and require no large incisions or sutures.

    2.    Immediate Results:

Patients often notice an immediate lift, with improvements continuing over the next 2–6 months as collagen production increases.

    3.    Customizable:

The procedure can be tailored to lift specific areas, such as the outer brow (for a fox-eye look) or to restore a naturally arched brow shape.

    4.    Short Recovery Time:

Unlike surgical brow lifts, thread lifts have minimal downtime, with most patients returning to regular activities within a few days.

    5.    Natural-Looking Enhancement:

Results are subtle and designed to complement the patient’s natural features.

    6.    Temporary and Reversible:

Threads dissolve over 6–12 months, making the treatment an appealing option for patients not ready for permanent surgical solutions.

Who Is a Good Candidate?

An eyebrow thread lift is ideal for individuals experiencing:

    •    Mild to moderate brow sagging.

    •    A desire for a non-surgical option.

    •    Early signs of aging in the brow and forehead area.

Patients with significant brow drooping or excessive skin laxity may require a surgical brow lift for optimal results.

Aftercare and Recovery

    •    Avoid heavy exercise, facial massages, or excessive facial expressions for 1–2 weeks.

    •    Apply cold compresses to reduce swelling and bruising.

    •    Follow the practitioner’s specific post-care instructions.

Risks and Considerations

While generally safe, eyebrow thread lifts carry some risks, including:

    •    Swelling, bruising, or mild discomfort.

    •    Temporary puckering of the skin.

    •    Rare complications such as infection or thread migration.

Choosing an experienced and qualified practitioner significantly minimizes these risks.

Professional Recommendations

    •    Expertise Matters: Ensure your provider has extensive training in thread lifts and facial anatomy to achieve safe, natural-looking results.

    •    Combine Treatments: For comprehensive rejuvenation, thread lifts can be combined with Botox, Xeomin or dermal fillers to smooth dynamic wrinkles and restore volume.

    •    Stay Realistic: Understand that thread lifts provide subtle enhancements, and results are not as dramatic or long-lasting as surgical options.

The eyebrow thread lift is a cutting-edge treatment offering quick, effective, and non-surgical solutions to aging concerns. It’s a popular choice for individuals seeking a refreshed, youthful look without significant downtime. Always consult with a licensed professional to determine if this procedure aligns with your aesthetic goals.

What Should  You Know

Although dissolvable PDO/PCL thread lifts are low risk procedures and inserted through a small round blunt cannula to avoid bleeding and swelling, every surgical procedure involves a certain amount of risk and complications.

Relapse
• Despite the thread effectively lifting areas listed above, it doesn't stop the aging process and  over time and as the patient ages, wrinkles and sagging will recur.

Infection

• For prevention of infection and precautionary measure, the patient will receive a prescription for antibiotics to be taken as directed. Risk is low.

Bleeding & Bruising
• Like any other procedure, there is a possibility of bleeding and bruising, but it will subside after a couple days and 1-2 weeks respectively.

Scars

• Should an incision be made during the procedure, a scar may result, but it will typically be made along the hair line to avoid showing (speak to your doctor if an incision will be made, typically no incisions are made).

Pain or Discomfort
• Due to threads being placed in the skin, there may be discomfort in the area
for several days after the procedure, but will lessen over time. Pain and
discomfort can be managed by taking ibuprofen (ex. Motrin, Advil, etc.).

Disorder of face movement

• This is rare, but depending on the pulling within the SMAS (superficial musculoaponeurotic system) layer, it can affect a branch of the facial nerve
and can cause disorders in facial movements, however this typically recovers over time.

Skin discolouration or isch
• Skin ischemia is the loss of blood circulation which leads to discolouration of the skin. This is very rare with ULTRA V Lift treatments, but should this occur, additional treatments or surgery may be necessary.

Dimpling and Bunching
• Dimpling and bunching may occur due to the barbed threads being placed inside the skin, however this can be massaged out. Should these occur, additional treatments including surgery may be necessary.

Visibility.

• Visibility of threads may apply to patients with thin skin or when inserted into thin skinned areas on the face. Should this occur, additional treatments or surgery may be necessary.

Migration
• After the ULTRA V Lift procedure, there is possibility of thread migration which may lead to further treatment of thread removal.
