COMMON QUESTIONS

Will my face look “frozen”

  •  When done right by an experienced injector neuromodulators shouldn’t leave patients looking unnatural. Neuromodulators must be injected carefully to enhance the face and reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles without immobilizing your facial muscles to the point that you cannot smile, frown or show emotions.

Are neuromodulators safe?

  • Yes! They have been available for 20 years and have been used to treat many diseases. In fact, it is used n children as young as 2 years old to treat cerebral palsy. It has been proven to be very safe through extensive testing and research.

How do neuromodulators work?

  • Neuromodulators blocked work by simply relaxing the muscles underneath the skin to create a smooth and refreshed appearance.

How long does the treatment take?

  • Generally, after the consultation, the procedure only takes up to 15 minutes.

How quickly does it work?

  • It can take up to 2 weeks for the product to take full effect. Usually , we can ask patients to wait for full 14 fays to pass to see the full result.

Are the effects permanent?

  • No, it is not permanent. The result will last 3-4 months on average but everyone is different, If you follow the directions given to you by your injector and book you first 3 treatments promptly every 3-4 months (without waiting in between) you may eventually be able to increase the duration of the results (4-6 months).

Will my areas of concern look worse after it wears off?

  • No! Your face will never get worse if you stop using neuromodulators, or when it wears off. They stop or slow the clock of aging When you stop receiving treatments the aging clock will resume as normal. At the very minimum you will simply return to where you started.

How much does it cost?

  • The cost of treatment varies by patient and areas of concern. There are a few things you should consider in addition to price .What type of medical professional is performing the treatment? Has the medical professional had much experience injecting neuromodulators? Is the medical professional gentle and using the latest techniques to ensure a great result?

What is a unit?

  • A unit of a is simply a measurement of a medication The exact number of units you require will be discussed during your consultation. For example, treating the glabella (frown lines between the eyebrow) usually requires 25-50 units.

What are hyaluronic acid fillers?

  • Dermal fillers are gel-like solutions injected into your skin to add fullness and volume to certain areas of the face, neck and hands. They may diminish the appearance of fine lines and can even enhance features like cheek contours and facial structure.

Does it hurt?

  • Pain tolerance varies from person to person but most of our clients find the treatment more comfortable than expected. All clients are numbed using a topical cream that works before the injection plus our products also contain lidocaine in them so you will begin to feel numb from that too. Our injector also uses a tool to distract from the injection.

Are fillers safe?

  • Yes, dermal fillers have been used safely for many years and have a long safety profile based on the many years and thousands of times these products have been injected into the skin.

How do you know which filler is best?

  • The choice of the filler depends on your treatment goals and varies from person to person. The treatment area, how long you want it to last and existing allergies determine which type is best for the patient.

How long does the treatment take?

  • The treatment duration depends on the area being treated and can be 15-60 minutes in length.

Will I look fake?

  • The general goal with filler is to restore a youthful appearance not to look overdone. However the type of filler, the amount injected and the injectors skill level can all affect how natural the results look. When done correctly those closest to you will notice a difference but will not be able to tell that you had something done.

How quickly does it work?

Will my areas of concern look worse after it wears off?

  • No! Dermal fillers cannot make those visible signs of aging worse. However fillers don’t stop the skin from aging. If a patient loves the result they will have to keep coming back to maintain them. Since results are temporary patients will experience wrinkles reappearing and volume loss reoccurring. Patients who maintain regular dermal filler treatments can have smoother more youthful looking skin all over year round.

How much does it cost?

What is a syringe?

  • A syringe is a measurement of filler that is equal to 1 cc or 1 ml of volume.

What is the most important information I should know about RADIESSE®?

What are the most common adverse events with RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+)?

  • The most common adverse events seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE® used in the hands include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching, nodules or bumps/lumps, difficulty performing activities, loss of sensation and other local side effects.

  • The most common adverse events seen in clinical studies of RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) used in the face include bruising, redness, swelling, pain, itching and other local side effects.

These are not all of the possible side effects with RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+). 

One of the risks with using these products is unintentional injection into a blood vessel. The chances of this happening are very small, but if it does happen, it can cause vision abnormalities, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin. 

As with all procedures that involve an injection through the skin, there is a risk of infection.

Do not use RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) if you have a skin infection until it has healed.

It is not known if RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) is safe or effective in the lips, or in the area around the eyes.

The microspheres in RADIESSE® and RADIESSE® (+) can be seen in X-rays and CT Scans. It is very important that you tell your health care provider that you have had RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+) dermal filler.

If you have a history of herpes, you may experience a herpes breakout after receiving RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+).

Injection in the back of the hand may result in temporary difficulty performing activities.

What should I tell my doctor before using RADIESSE® or RADIESSE® (+)?

  • Tell your health care provider if you are taking blood thinners or medicines that can interfere with the clotting of blood, such as aspirin or warfarin. These medicines might make it more likely that you will experience bruising or bleeding at the injection site. Tell your health care provider if you have any diseases, injuries or disabilities of the hand, if you have a history forming large, raised scars or if you have had any other skin treatments such as skin peels.

How long does it take for PCL threads to dissolve?

PDO or polydioxanone strands dissolve after six to nine months. Lactic acid threads, dissolve after 12 to 18 months. PCL or polycaprolactone yarns are the most durable of the three. It takes two to three years to completely dissolve.

Are PDO/PCL threads permanent?

Polycaprolactone (PCL): – Can last for more than 2 years. The threads are slowly absorbed into the body within 1 to 2 years compared to PDO threads which take between six and eight months.

What are PCL threads made of?

Polycaprolactone (PCL) threads are the latest monofilament suspension threads of synthetic origin (caprolactone). They regenerate collagen for a longer period than PDO and PLLA threads.

How Soon Will I See Results?

Some results of the treatment, such as skin lifting and some of the contouring effects, are visible immediately after treatment. 

When Will I See the Final Results?

The final results of your PDO thread lift will be seen within one to two months of your treatment. How long it takes you personally depends a lot on your age. Your age is one of the leading factors in how quickly your body produces new, healthy collagen. 

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Most of our clients enjoy satisfactory results after just one treatment. Come in six to nine months after your first treatment so we can assess if you need a follow-up treatment.

What are the risks of a thread lift? 

Also it is low risk and minimally invasive procedure there are some risks

  • Anesthetic reaction

  • Difficulty opening your mouth (usually temporary)

  • Extrusion of a thread.

  • Infection.

  • Pain, which could persist.

  • Sensitivity to sun or other bright light.

  • Swelling and bruising.

  • Unfavorable result.
